The Pregnancy - Week 32

Written by

This is the 32nd week and you are almost ready for delivery. This means you are in your 8th month. You will feel a lot of uterine contractions during the day. Don't’ be scared. These contractions are practice contractions which the uterus does preparing for delivery. Moving around a little will decrease the contractions. Do not stand or sit in one place for a long time and rest as much as possible.

You can see that baby’s position has changed from your ultrasound and is now getting ready for delivery. The baby’s weight is almost close to 16 inches and weight is close to 1.9 kgs. Baby’s brain is still developing and You should still continue to take nutritious food and take adequate rest. This week you may not able to feel a lot of baby’s movements. This is because the baby has grown and has filled the entire uterus and does not have the place to move around and its movements may not be able to be felt outside. Baby’s lungs are well developed and is almost functional. Baby’s eyes are also well developed and your weight is increasing by 400 grams every week and the blood volume is also increasing by 40 to 45%. It is important that you have adequate blood during pregnancy as there could be the loss of blood during delivery.
