The Pregnancy - Week 15

Written by

This is 15th week. What has happened the last 14 weeks - to know this don't forget to see our blogs.

Pregnant women are vulnerable to infections, so take care when you go to crowded places. If you happen to catch a cold or fever. See your doctor.

The doctor may examine you to determine if you need any medication.

It is preferred for pregnant women to always sleep on the side and avoid sleeping on the back. This is because, When a pregnant woman sleeps on her back for a long time, the inferior vena cava which supplies blood to the baby can get compressed and this would cause reduced blood supply to the baby. If you sleep on your side, there will be no such problems.

So what is happening in the baby this week? Baby is growing rapidly and this week is busy sucking on her thumb. He or she is practicing for feeding after birth. The baby may have developed some facial expressions. He or she can frown and smile
