1.Proteins during pregnancy Featured

Written by

Approximately 300 extra calories are needed daily to maintain a healthy pregnancy. These calories should come from a balanced diet of protein, carbohydrates, fats, and vitamins. Fruits, vegetables, and whole grains should be the primary source of nutrition and sweets and fats should be kept to a minimum.

A healthy, well-balanced diet during pregnancy can also help to minimize some pregnancy symptoms such as nausea and constipation.

First month - Protein

Protein is needed during pregnancy. Experts recommend 75 to 100 grams of protein per day. Protein positively affects the growth of fetal tissue, including the brain. It also helps your breast and uterine tissue to grow during pregnancy, and it plays a role in your increasing blood supply. This month we will be sharing with you the recipe for Moong dal dosa or Pesarattu. The cereal and pulse combination makes this recipe a good source of quality protein.
