1.Walk daily - Aim to walk at least one hour a day. Walking keeps you healthy, it keeps your joints supple and keeps your weight also under control. You could walk fast or slow, depending on your energy level, but make sure you have a comfortable footwear.
Squatting helps to keep your hips mobile and can help you during delivery, try to start with simple squats and make sure you have support.
2.Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables - Cut down on your junk food and fill yourself with veggies. Make sure you wash them carefully before you eat them. You need to stock up on your proteins too, atlas 1mg/kg body weight. For eg - If you weigh 60 kgs - You will need atlas 60 grams of protein in your daily diet.
3. Drink plenty of water - Dehydration can cause uterine contractions and lead to preterm labor. Aim to drink atlas 2 to 3 liters of water daily. Your requirements could go up during summer months.
4.Sleep well - Try to get at least 8 hours of good sleep. Sleep deprivation could be associated with longer labor, stress and pre-term birth caused due to stress. Try some meditation techniques to relieve stress. Try to listen to soft and relaxing music, This can help you and the baby.
5.Keep a check on your caffeine. Try to minimize your coffee and Tea. No smoking and also keep away from passive smoking ( Inhaling the smoke from somebody else smoking) and of course no alcohol.
