Priya was in her 29th week. Everything seemed to be going normally until now. But since today morning she started having bleeding and sudden onset of low abdominal pain. The pain was mild but definitely uncomfortable. The bleeding was mild, but bright red in color. She was very anxious and was able to feel very few movements of the baby. Her husband rushed her to the Doctor. The doctor examined her and ordered an ultrasound. The ultrasound was to rule out Abruptio placenta.
Pregnancy is a wonderful journey, but for some women, sadly, the journey could end prematurely in an abortion or miscarriage.
